Cressy books spot in Eastbourne final at expense of Brit Draper
Maxime Cressy defeated Jack Draper 7-6 (5), 6-7 (2), 6-3 on Friday afternoon and will face the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed, and Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 6 seed, in the final
American Maxime Cressy advanced to the final of the Rothesay International Eastbourne by defeating wildcard Jack Draper 7-6 (5), 6-7 (2), 6-3 on Friday.
Cressy, ranked No 60, will play the winner of the match between American Taylor Fritz, the No 3 seed, and Australian Alex de Minaur, the No 6 seed, next.
The American won against No 5 seed Reilly Opelka (6-3, 6-1), Daniel Evans (7-6 (2), 6-4) and top seed Cameron Norrie (7-5, 7-5) in the previous rounds.
Earlier in the tournament, Draper, ranked No 108, won against American Jenson Brooksby (6-2, 6-2), Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 4 seed (7-5, 7-6 (3)) and wildcard Ryan Peniston (6-3, 6-3).
