Cordoba Open: Zapata Miralles makes second round as Garin retires
Bernabe Zapata Miralles benefited from the retirement of Cristian Garin (1-6, 7-6 (3), 3-0) on Tuesday and will face No 3 seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry in the next round

Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles advanced to the second round of the Cordoba Open when Chilean Cristian Garin retired at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Tuesday.
Zapata Miralles, ranked No 79, led 1-6, 7-6 (3), 3-0 when Garin, ranked No 87, pulled out on Tuesday at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes.
The Spaniard will face No 3 seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry next.
