Cordoba Open: Etcheverry makes quarter-finals

Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry, the No 3 seed, advanced to the last eight of the Cordoba Open by beating Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles 7-5, 6-4 at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Thursday night.
Etcheverry, ranked No 29, will play Argentinian Federico Coria next.
Zapata Miralles, ranked No 79, benefited from the abandonment of Chilean Cristian Garin (1-6, 7-6 (3), 3-0) in the previous round of the Cordoba tournament.
