Cordoba Open: Coria moves into semi-finals, defeats third seed Etcheverry

Federico Coria reached the semi-finals of the Cordoba Open by winning against No 3 seed Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-3, 6-4 at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Friday evening.

Coria, ranked No 93, will face the winner of the match between Spaniard Jaume Munar and Argentinian qualifier Facundo Bagnis next.

Ahead of his victory, Federico Coria edged out German Daniel Altmaier, the No 5 seed (5-7, 6-3, 6-4) and defeated Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-1, 6-3).

Etcheverry, ranked No 29, beat Spaniard Bernabe Zapata Miralles (7-5, 6-4) in the previous round of the Cordoba tournament.
