Cordoba Open: Coria beats Ramos-Vinolas to reach final and break into top 50

Argentine Federico Coria, the No 6 seed, advanced to the final of the Cordoba Open by beating Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas, the No 3 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (2) at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Saturday.
Coria, ranked No 67, will face the winner of the match between qualifier Hugo Dellien and Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the Argentine won against Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (6-7 (5), 6-1, 6-2), Italian Marco Cecchinato (6-3, 3-1 ret.) and second seed Francisco Cerundolo (6-3, 3-0 ret.).
With the win, Coria is also projected to break into the top 50 of the world rankings for the first time in his career on Monday.
Ramos-Vinolas, ranked No 54, won against Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-4, 2-6, 6-2) and Portuguese João Sousa (6-4, 2-6, 6-1) earlier in the tournament.
