“Completely reject the allegations” – Zverev responds to latest allegations
The German will meet Slovak Alex Molcan in his first match in Hamburg on Tuesday
Former world No 3 Alexander Zverev has rejected the latest assault allegations levied on him by ex-girlfriend Brenda Patea, who is also the mother of his child.
In his first statement on the issue, Zverev, who was also accused by a former girlfriend Olga Sharypova of domestic violence prior to this, in 2020, made the statement in Hamburg, where he is competing in the ATP 500 event this week.
“I completely reject the allegations. My lawyers will take care of the matter,” he said during a press conference as reported by Deutsche Presse-Agentur (DPA). “I won’t say any more than that.”
