Citi Open: M. Ymer upsets Karatsev and makes last 16
Mikael Ymer edged out Aslan Karatsev 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 on Wednesday evening. He’ll play Finn Emil Ruusuvuori in the next round

Sweden’s Mikael Ymer edged out Russian Aslan Karatsev, the No 15 seed, 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 to reach the last 16 of the Citi Open at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington on Wednesday.
Ymer, ranked No 115, will face Finn Emil Ruusuvuori next. Ruusuvuori had knocked out the No2 seed Hubert Hurkacz earlier in the day.
The Swede had defeated Andy Murray (7-6 (8), 4-6, 6-1) in the first round.
