American J.J. Wolf, the No 16 seed, defeated Radu Albot 6-1, 6-3 to move into the last 16 of the Citi Open at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington on Wednesday evening.
Wolf, ranked No 45, will face American Michael Mmoh next.
Albot, ranked No 97, edged out American Marcos Giron (6-3, 5-7, 7-5) in the previous round of the Washington D.C. tournament.
