Citi Open: Tiafoe moves into quarter-finals against Kyrgios
It will be Frances Tiafoe vs Nick Kyrgios in the Washington, D.C. quarterfinals later on Friday. Tiafoe earned his spot in the matchup by beating Botic van de Zandschulp.
Frances Tiafoe, the No 10 seed, beat eighth-seeded Botic van de Zandschulp 4-6, 6-2, 6-3 to reach the quarter-finals of the Citi Open at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington, D.C. on Friday afternoon.
Tiafoe will play Australian Nick Kyrgios next.

The world No 27 had previously defeated fellow American Christopher Eubanks 6-3, 7-6 (2). In the previous round Van De Zandschulp, ranked No 26, followed up a bye with a 7-6(6), 6-7(5), 6-4 victory over Croatian qualifier Borna Gojo.
