Citi Open: Monfils books spot in last 16, beats Bublik

French wildcard Gael Monfils won against Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the No 6 seed, 6-3, 6-4 to move into the last 16 of the Citi Open at Rock Creek Park Tennis Center in Washington on Wednesday night.

Monfils, ranked No 323, will face Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor, the No 12 seed, next.
