Cincinnati Masters: Tiafoe stronger than Davidovich Fokina to reach second round
Frances Tiafoe defeated Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3, 7-6 (6) on Tuesday evening and will face the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 14 seed, and Chilean Nicolas Jarry in the next round
American Frances Tiafoe defeated Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 6-3, 7-6 (6) to advance to the second round of the Cincinnati Masters at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.
Tiafoe, ranked No 26, will face the winner of the match between Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 14 seed, and Chilean Nicolas Jarry next.
