Cincinnati Masters: Thompson wins a thriller against Humbert to reach second round

Australian Jordan Thompson moved into the second round of the Cincinnati Masters by edging out Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 13 seed, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (4) at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Tuesday.

Thompson, ranked No 32, will play Argentinian Sebastian Baez next.
