Cincinnati Masters: Nakashima upsets 11th seed Fritz to reach second round
The American will play Frenchman Arthur Fils in the next round
American wildcard Brandon Nakashima moved into the second round of the Cincinnati Masters by edging out No 11 seed and countryman Taylor Fritz 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (4) on Tuesday.
Nakashima, ranked No 49, scored a big upset for the second week in a row after beating Tommy Paul on his way to the third round in Montreal last week.
The American will face Frenchman Arthur Fils next at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.
