Cincinnati Masters: Lajovic into last 16 by knocking out Toronto champ Sinner

Serb qualifier Dusan Lajovic moved into the last 16 of the Cincinnati Masters by winning against Italian Jannik Sinner, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (4) at the Linder Tennis Family Center on Wednesday evening.

Lajovic, ranked No 66, will face American Taylor Fritz, the No 9 seed, next.

In the previous round of the Cincy Open, the 33-year-old Serb beat Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo (6-3, 6-4).
