Hurkacz battles past Cobolli at Cincinnati Masters
Hubert Hurkacz earned a three-set victory over Flavio Cobolli on Friday in Cincinnati. Hurkacz awaits either Frances Tiafoe or Jiri Lehecka.

Hubert Hurkacz, the No 5 seed, moved into the quarter-finals of the Western & Southern Open by defeating Italian Flavio Cobolli 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Friday evening.
Hurkacz, ranked No 7, will next play the winner of the match between American Frances Tiafoe and Jiri Lehecka.
Ahead of his victory, the Pole won against Japanese qualifier Yoshihito Nishioka (3-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1).
Cobolli, ranked No 31, edged out American Tommy Paul, the No 10 seed (6-2, 4-6, 7-5) and benefited from the retirement of Luciano Darderi (7-6 (4), 3-1) earlier in the tournament.
