Auger-Aliassime once again gets the best of Ruud, this time in Cincinnati

Felix Auger-Aliassime made quick work of Casper Ruud, the No 7 seed, 6-3, 6-1 to move into the last 16 of the Western & Southern Open at the Lindner Family Tennis Center on Friday afternoon. These two players also squared off in the quarter-finals of the Paris Olympics, where the Canadian prevailed in three sets.

Auger-Aliassime, ranked No 19, will face Jack Draper next. It will also be on Friday, as the Auger-Aliassime vs Ruud match had been scheduled for Thursday but was postponed by rain.

Auger-Aliassime defeated American qualifier Aleksandar Kovacevic (6-3, 6-1) ahead of his victory.
