China Open: Dimitrov recovers to edge past McDonald and into the second round
Grigor Dimitrov won against Mackenzie McDonald 2-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1. He’ll face the winner of the match between Rune and Auger-Aliassime in the next round

Grigor Dimitrov had to fight back from a set down to get past American wildcard Mackenzie McDonald, eventually coming through 2-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1 to reach the second round of the China Open at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing.
Dimitrov, ranked No 19, faces a tough challenge in his next match where he will play the winner of the match between Dane Holger Rune, the No 3 seed, and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.
