China Open: Bu upsets sixth seed Musetti to reach quarter-finals

Chinese wildcard Yunchaokete Bu beat Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the No 6 seed, 6-2, 6-4 to advance to the quarter-finals of the China Open on Sunday.
This is the biggest win of Bu’s career and the first top 20 win of his career. It also makes him the first Chinese player to reach the China Open quarter-finals since 2012.
Bu, ranked No 96, will face the winner of the match between Russian Andrey Rublev, the No 4 seed, and Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina next at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing.
In the previous round of the tournament, the 22-year-old Chinese edged out Juncheng Shang (6-7 (3), 6-2, 6-4).
Musetti, ranked No 19, won against Belgian qualifier Zizou Bergs (7-5, 4-6, 6-3) earlier in the week.
