Alcaraz hits 200 ATP Tour wins as he reaches quarters in Beijing
Alcaraz is the second-fastest man to reach the 200 mark, beaten only by John McEnroe
Carlos Alcaraz racked up win No 200 on the ATP Tour – at the tender age of 21 – as he beat Dutchman Tallon Griekspoor 6-1, 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the China Open at the Olympic Green Tennis Center in Beijing on Sunday afternoon.
Alcaraz, ranked No 3 and seeded No 2 this week, will face Russian Karen Khachanov, the No 7 seed, next. He is the second-fastest man to reach the 200 wins mark in terms of win-loss record, beaten only by John McEnroe.
“It was a great achievement, getting my 200th win on the ATP Tour,” Alcaraz said. “I always try and wants to win every match that I played. Just two years and a half, more or less, being in the Tour, having my 200th win is great for me. I just want to keep going, to keep getting more and more wins.”

In the previous round of the Beijing tournament, Griekspoor, ranked No 39, won against Serb Miomir Kecmanovic (6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-3).
