Chile Open: Munar cruises into quarter-finals

No 8 seed Jaume Munar reached the quarter-finals of the Chile Open by winning against Albert Ramos-Vinolas 6-3, 6-1 at Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Thursday evening.
Munar, ranked No 70, will play the winner of the match between Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas and Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the second seed, next.
Jaume Munar defeated Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-4, 6-1) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Santiago tournament, Ramos-Vinolas, ranked No 104, beat Hugo Dellien (6-3, 6-2).
