Chile Open: Jarry wins the final

Chilean Nicolas Jarry won the Chile Open title by defeating Argentinian Tomas Martin Etcheverry 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5), 6-2 at the Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago on Sunday night.
In the previous rounds of the Santiago Open, Jarry, ranked No 87, beat Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (7-6 (1), 6-4), Argentinian Diego Schwartzman, the No 4 seed (6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (2)), German qualifier Yannick Hanfmann (3-6, 6-3, 6-4) and Spaniard Jaume Munar (1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-1).
Etcheverry, ranked No 76, beat Italian Fabio Fognini (6-1, 7-6 (1)), second seed Francisco Cerundolo (6-3, 3-6, 6-3), Serb Dusan Lajovic (6-1, 6-2) and No 3 seed Sebastian Baez (7-5, 6-3) earlier in the tournament.
