Chile Open: Baez reaches last four

Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the second seed, reached the last four of the Chile Open by defeating Spaniard Jaume Munar, the No 8 seed, 6-4, 6-4 at Club Universidad Católica de San Carlos de Apoquindo in Santiago de Chile on Friday evening.
Baez, ranked No 21, will play the winner of the match between Spaniard Pedro Martinez and Frenchman Arthur Fils, the No 3 seed, next.
The Argentinian won against Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (4-6, 6-4, 6-2) in the previous round of the Santiago tournament.
In the previous rounds of the Santiago tournament, Munar, ranked No 70, beat Bernabe Zapata Miralles (6-4, 6-1) and Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-3, 6-1).
