Chengdu Open: Zverev gets past Kotov
Alexander Zverev won against Pavel Kotov 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-1 on Saturday. He’ll face Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 7 seed, in the next round

German Alexander Zverev, the top seed, reached the quarter-finals of the Chengdu Open by winning against Russian qualifier Pavel Kotov 7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-1 at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Saturday.
Zverev, ranked No 10, will face Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 7 seed, next.
Kotov, ranked No 106, beat Colombian Daniel Elahi Galan (7-5, 7-5) in the previous round of the Chengdu tournament.
