Chengdu Open: Zverev downs Dimitrov again to reach final

German Alexander Zverev, the top seed, reached the final of the Chengdu Open by winning against Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 3 seed, 6-3, 7-6 (2) at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Monday.
Zverev, ranked No 10, will face Russian Roman Safiullin next.
The German defeated Russian qualifier Pavel Kotov (7-6 (5), 4-6, 6-1) and Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 7 seed (5-7, 7-5, 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Chengdu tournament.
Earlier in the tournament, Dimitrov, ranked No 20, beat Peruvian Juan Pablo Varillas (6-3, 6-4) and Australian Christopher O’Connell (6-4, 6-1).
