Chengdu Open: Shang will play his maiden ATP final against Musetti

Chinese Juncheng Shang advanced to the final of the Chengdu Open by defeating German Yannick Hanfmann 6-4, 6-4 at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Monday.
Shang, ranked No 55, will face Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the top seed, next.
Earlier in the tournament, the 19-year-old Chinese won against Japanese wildcard Kei Nishikori (6-4, 6-4), Russian Roman Safiullin, the No 8 seed (5-7, 6-3, 6-3) and Kazakh Alexander Bublik, the second seed (6-4, 7-6 (8)).
Hanfmann, ranked No 82, won against Japanese qualifier Shintaro Mochizuki (6-4, 7-6 (4)), Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, the No 7 seed (6-4, 3-6, 6-3) and Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero, the No 4 seed (7-6 (1), 6-2) in the previous rounds of the Chengdu tournament.
