Chengdu Open: Musetti makes semi-finals

Italian Lorenzo Musetti, the second seed, beat Frenchman Arthur Rinderknech 6-3, 6-3 to move into the semi-finals of the Chengdu Open at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Sunday night.
Musetti, ranked No 18, will play Russian Roman Safiullin next.
The 21-year-old Italian won against Australian qualifier Philip Sekulic (7-6 (3), 6-7 (4), 6-0) ahead of his victory.
Earlier in the tournament, Rinderknech, ranked No 67, won against Australian lucky loser Li Tu (7-6 (5), 7-6 (6)) and American Marcos Giron (7-6 (2), 6-4).
