Chengdu Open: Martinez Portero moves into quarter-finals
Pedro Martinez Portero won against Aleksandar Vukic 6-3, 6-4 on Friday and will play German Yannick Hanfmann in the next round

Spaniard Pedro Martinez Portero, the No 4 seed, reached the last eight of the Chengdu Open by winning against Australian Aleksandar Vukic 6-3, 6-4 at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Friday afternoon.
Martinez Portero, ranked No 42, will face German Yannick Hanfmann next.
Vukic, ranked No 92, edged out Croat Borna Coric (3-6, 7-6 (9), 6-4) in the previous round of the Chengdu tournament.
