Chengdu Open: Gomez beats Muller in first round

Argentinian qualifier Federico Agustin Gomez defeated Frenchman Alexandre Muller 6-4, 7-5 to move into the second round of the Chengdu Open at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Thursday.

Gomez, ranked No 174, will face second seed Alexander Bublik next.
