Japanese Taro Daniel won against Australian Aleksandar Vukic, the No 8 seed, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2 to advance to the second round of the Chengdu Open at the Sichuan International Tennis Center on Wednesday night.
Daniel, ranked No 95, will play the winner of the match between Australian Christopher O’Connell and Russian qualifier Alibek Kachmazov next.
