Bucharest Open: Martinez through to second round

No 8 seed Pedro Martinez defeated qualifier Carlos Taberner 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 to advance to the second round of the Bucharest Open at the National Tennis Centre on Tuesday.

Martinez, ranked No 57, will face the winner of the match between Belgian David Goffin and Serb Miomir Kecmanovic next.
