Brisbane Open: Mpetshi Perricard knocks out fourth seed Tiafoe
The Frenchman will play Czech Jakub Mensik in the next round

Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard moved into the last eight of the Brisbane Open by winning against American Frances Tiafoe, the No 4 seed, 6-4, 7-6 (4) on Thursday.
The Frenchman hit 20 aces on his way to his sixth career top 20 victory. Mpetshi Perricard, ranked No 31, will play Jakub Mensik next at the Queensland Tennis Centre.
Ahead of his win today, the 21-year-old Frenchman edged out Australian Nick Kyrgios (7-6 (2), 6-7 (4), 7-6 (3)).
Tiafoe, ranked No 18, beat Australian wildcard Adam Walton (7-6 (5), 6-3) in the previous round of the tournament.
