Chilean Nicolas Jarry advanced to the quarter-finals of the Brisbane Open by defeating French qualifier Benjamin Bonzi 6-2, 6-3 at the Queensland Tennis Centre on Wednesday.
Jarry, ranked No 35, will play Jiri Lehecka next.
In the previous round of the Brisbane tournament, the Chilean won against Argentinian Mariano Navone (7-5, 7-6 (7)).
Bonzi, ranked No 75, edged out Chilean Alejandro Tabilo, the No 6 seed (6-7 (8), 7-6 (5), 6-4) during the first round of the Brisbane tournament.
