Thiem completes win over Huesler to reach quarter-finals in Munich

Austrian Dominic Thiem completed a fine turnaround as he recovered to beat Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler, the No 8 seed, 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday to reach the quarter-finals of the BMW Open.
In a match held over from Thursday, with Thiem down a set, the former US Open champion came back strongly to set up a clash with American Taylor Fritz, the second seed.
The Austrian benefited from the abandonment of Frenchman Constant Lestienne (6-3, 0-0) ahead of his victory.
In the previous round of the Munich Open, Huesler, ranked No 63, beat Kyle Edmund (7-6 (3), 4-6, 6-3).
