BMW Open: Top seed Rune advances to last eight
Holger Rune won against Yannick Hanfmann 6-3, 6-4 on Thursday. He’ll play the winner of the match between Chilean Cristian Garin and Italian Lorenzo Sonego, the No 6 seed, in the next round

Dane Holger Rune, the top seed, won against German wildcard Yannick Hanfmann 6-3, 6-4 to reach the last eight of the BMW Open at the MTTC Iphitos complex in Munich on Thursday.
Rune, ranked No 7, will face the winner of the match between Chilean Cristian Garin and Italian Lorenzo Sonego, the No 6 seed, next.
In the previous round of the Munich Open, Hanfmann, ranked No 112, beat Brazilian Thiago Monteiro (6-7 (3), 7-6 (5), 6-2).
