Australian Christopher O’Connell reached the second round of the BMW Open by winning against Frenchman Ugo Humbert 6-4, 6-4 at the MTTC Iphitos complex in Munich on Tuesday.
O’Connell, ranked No 82, will play No 3 seed Alexander Zverev next.
