BMW Open: Cobolli beats Thompson in round one
Flavio Cobolli beat Jordan Thompson 7-5, 6-1 on Monday afternoon and will play the winner of the match between German Oscar Otte and Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 5 seed, in the next round

Italian qualifier Flavio Cobolli reached the second round of the BMW Open by winning against Australian Jordan Thompson 7-5, 6-1 at the MTTC Iphitos complex in Munich on Monday afternoon.
Cobolli, ranked No 208, will face the winner of the match between German Oscar Otte and Argentinian Sebastian Baez, the No 5 seed, next.
