Belgrade Open: Shapovalov into quarter-finals
Denis Shapovalov defeated Nuno Borges on Wednesday and will play Australian Christopher O’Connell in the next round

Canadian qualifier Denis Shapovalov advanced to the last eight of the Belgrade Open by winning against Portuguese Nuno Borges, the No 5 seed, 6-2, 6-4 at the Belgrade Arena on Wednesday.
Shapovalov, ranked No 78, will play Australian Christopher O’Connell next.
The Canadian defeated Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics (6-7 (6), 7-5, 6-1) ahead of his victory.
