Barcelona Open: Dimitrov reaches last 16

Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 11 seed, reached the last 16 of the Barcelona Open by beating Ecuadorian Emilio Gomez 6-3, 6-1 at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Wednesday.
Dimitrov, ranked No 31, will play the winner of the match between Australian Alex De Minaur, the No 8 seed, and Russian Alexander Shevchenko next.
Gomez, ranked No 120, edged out Spaniard Albert Ramos-Vinolas (6-3, 1-6, 6-4) in the previous round of the Barcelona tournament.
