Barcelona Open: Davidovich Fokina into last 16 as Machac pulls out
Alejandro Davidovich Fokina benefited from the forfeit of Tomas Machac on Wednesday and will face the winner of the match between Serb Dusan Lajovic and Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 6 seed, in the next round

Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, the No 11 seed, reached the last 16 of the Barcelona Open after Tomas Machac withdrew before the match on Wednesday at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona.
Davidovich Fokina, ranked No 27, will face the winner of the match between Serb Dusan Lajovic and Frenchman Ugo Humbert, the No 6 seed, next.
Machac, ranked No 50, won against Chinese qualifier Juncheng Shang (6-4, 6-4) in the previous round of the Barcelona tournament.
