Spanish wildcard Roberto Bautista Agut reached the last 16 of the Barcelona Open by defeating Italian lucky loser Andrea Vavassori 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 at Real Club de Tenis Barcelona on Wednesday.
Bautista Agut, ranked No 84, will play No 12 seed Cameron Norrie next.
The 36-year-old Spaniard won against Russian Roman Safiullin (6-3, 7-6 (8)) in the previous round of the Barcelona tournament.
