Banja Luka Open: Frenchman Van Assche downs Wawrinka to set up Djokovic clash
Luca Van Assche edged out Stan Wawrinka 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 on Monday afternoon. He’ll play top seed Novak Djokovic in the next round

Frenchman Luca Van Assche edged out Swiss Stan Wawrinka 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4 to move into the second round of the Banja Luka Open at the Tennis Klub Mladost on Monday.
Van Assche, ranked No 87, will play top seed Novak Djokovic next.
“I am very happy with my victory,” Van Assche said. “Stan is a legend in our sport and I am very satisfied with my performance.
“I am only 18 years old and to play against Novak Djokovic is something incredible. The crowd will not be for me but I will try to win.”
