Banja Luka Open: Lehecka reaches last eight
Jiri Lehecka won against Radu Albot 6-0, 6-2 on Thursday. He’ll face Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 4 seed, in the next round
Czech Jiri Lehecka, the No 6 seed, defeated qualifier Radu Albot 6-0, 6-2 to reach the quarter-finals of the Banja Luka Open at the Tennis Klub Mladost on Thursday.
Lehecka, ranked No 36, will face Serb Miomir Kecmanovic, the No 4 seed, next.
Ahead of his victory, the 21-year-old Czech won against French wildcard Gael Monfils (6-4, 6-3).
Albot, ranked No 110, benefited from the abandonment of Argentinian Federico Coria (6-4) in the previous round of the Banja Luka tournament.
