Serb Laslo Djere moved into the second round of the Banja Luka Open by defeating Russian Roman Safiullin 6-4, 6-2 at the Tennis Klub Mladost on Tuesday.
Djere, ranked No 78, will play No 3 seed Borna Coric next.
