Baez wins twice in one day to reach Cordoba semi-finals
Sebastian Baez beat Facundo Diaz Acosta in straight sets on Friday night in Cordoba and will play Italian qualifier Luciano Darderi in the next round. It was Baez’s second win of the day.

Second seed Sebastian Baez beat Facundo Diaz Acosta 6-3, 6-1 to advance to the semi-finals of the Cordoba Open at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes on Friday night.
Baez, ranked No 26, will play Italian qualifier Luciano Darderi next.
Sebastian Baez edged out Hugo Dellien (4-6, 6-3, 6-4) in a rain-delayed second-round match earlier on Friday.
In the previous rounds of the Cordoba tournament, Acosta, ranked No 95, won against qualifier Federico Agustin Gomez (6-1, 6-4) and lucky loser Thiago Agustin Tirante (6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-2).
