American Marcos Giron edged out Argentinian lucky loser Federico Coria 6-7 (5), 6-4, 7-5 to reach the second round of the Auckland Open at the ASB Tennis Centre on Tuesday.
The win sets up an all-American clash between Giron, ranked No 60, and his countryman J.J. Wolf, ranked 66th in the world.
