Serb Laslo Djere edged out Spaniard Jaume Munar 3-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4) to advance to the second round of the Auckland Open at the ASB Tennis Centre on Tuesday night.
Djere, ranked No 70, will play top seed Casper Ruud next.
