Roberto Carballes Baena reached the second round of the Auckland Open by beating Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-3 at the ASB Tennis Arena on Monday.
Carballes Baena, ranked No 67, will face Austrian Sebastian Ofner, the No 7 seed, next.
