The Top 20 of the ATP rankings remains unchanged as the US Open gets under way on Monday: Carlos Alcaraz, world No.1, ahead of Novak Djokovic – who needs just one win in Flushing Meadows to guarantee his return to the top spot after the end of the tournament.
That is because Djokovic has no points to defend this fortnight, while the Spaniard has a title to defend.
Croatian Borna Coric (23rd) has moved up nine places following his semi-final win at Winston Salem, while Argentina’s Sebastian Baez (32nd) has moved up ten places following his victory in this tournament.
Americans Brandon Nakashima (No 68) and Michael Mmoh (No 89) enjoy rises ahead of their home slam.
