ATP rankings: Draper, Mpetshi Perricard touch new heights, Sinner continues reign at No 1
News of the climbers and fallers in the latest ATP rankings
The ATP released its latest rankings on Monday, October 28, bringing cheers for Britain’s Jack Draper and Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard as the duo touched new career-highs. Czech Jakub Mensik also reached his career-high ranking, breaching the top 50.
The top 10 remained unchanged as Italian Jannik Sinner stays well clear at No 1 despite losing 500 points after he decided not to defend his title in Vienna. Here’s how the top 10 stands as of October 28:

Draper is the new No 15, Mpetshi Perricard No 31
Jack Draper completed an inspired week in Vienna on Sunday by defeating Russian Karen Khachanov (6-4, 7-5) in a gripping final. The victory helped Draper reach 2,800 points (+490), lifting him to the 15th spot, a career-best, in the ATP standings. The Brit’s previous career-high rank was world No 18.
Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard jumped 19 places to become the new world No 31 on Monday on the back of a triumphant run at the Swiss Indoors in Basel. The Frenchman overcame American Ben Shelton (6-4, 7-6 (4)) in the title clash to take his points tally to 1,519 (+493).
Jakub Mensik also rose to 48th place in the Monday update on the back of commendable runs to the quarter-finals in Shanghai and Vienna, going down against Serbian Novak Djokovic and Australian Alex de Minaur, respectively.

Auger-Aliassime drops out of Top 20
Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime dropped out of the ATP top 20 on Monday, having failed to defend his trophy in Basel. Seeded eighth, Auger-Aliassime faltered against eventual champion Mpetshi Perricard (6-1, 7-6 (8)) in the Round of 16.
The 24-year-old saw 450 points removed from his account as he dropped eight places to 28th position in the singles rankings.
