ATP Brisbane: Dimitrov moves into quarter-finals, to meet Hijikata next
The Bulgarian defeated Daniel Altmaier 6-1, 6-2 on Thursday to move into the last eight
Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the second seed, won against German Daniel Altmaier 6-1, 6-2 to move into the quarter-finals of the Brisbane International on Thursday.
Dimitrov, ranked No 14, will play Australian wildcard Rinky Hijikata next.
Ahead of his win today, the Bulgarian defeated former world No 1 Andy Murray (4-6, 7-5, 6-2) while Altmaier, ranked No 56, beat Australian qualifier Li Tu (7-6 (5), 7-6 (4)) in the previous round.
